About the Author
“I was born with a very creative imagination from the get-go.”
I'm a versatile writer, born in Burnley, brought up in Brierfield, and now living in Kirkham, near Preston. I write across multiple genres — I have never wanted to be pinned down as just one type of author. I have been writing stories since 1992, first by hand with a black pen, then on screen, and I have never stopped. Forever Wolf is one of the worlds I'm inviting you into.
My Story
Every writer has an origin story. This is mine.
Chapter I
I was born at Burnley General Hospital in the North West of Lancashire, and brought up in the small town of Brierfield. From the very start I had a vivid, creative imagination — it was there long before I knew what to do with it.
Chapter II
I attended a special school for children with learning difficulties and disabilities. At seven, I heard an expert tell my mother that I was mentally behind my physical age. As far as I can remember, he never said how far behind. But nobody could measure my imagination.
Chapter III
I have felt different about myself since I was very young. Nothing could have prepared me for the day I finally discovered who I truly am — and that honesty about being different runs through every story I write.
Chapter IV
In 1992 I began writing stories the only way I had — on A4 lined paper with a black pen. By hand alone, I have written more than 200 stories.
Chapter V
Eventually my stories moved onto the computer. Writing in Microsoft Word, I have filled more than 200 documents with characters, worlds and secrets.
Chapter VI · Now
I'm 57, I live in Kirkham, near Preston, and I'm still writing — across many genres, because I have never been just one kind of writer. Forever Wolf and the world of Aryla are one door I'm opening, and there are many more worlds behind it.
Two hundred stories by hand. Two hundred more on screen. One imagination that never stopped.
